UEFA Champions League, Group stage wrap

Liverpool FC left it late to seal their place in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League as they joined AS Monaco FC, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Real Madrid CF in advancing from Groups A-D on the final round of group-stage matches on Wednesday night. The 16 teams through to the first knockout round are now known, along with the eight clubs transferring to the UEFA Cup last 32.
